The Metro Manila Film Festival asked us to promote a competition where students make short films on their phone.

However, nobody knew about it and they didn’t have much money to advertise.

So we created an interactive short you could watch on your cellphone. Made using ASCII art, each text featured a crafted image made using text characters. We text-blasted hundreds of these texts to students in the major schools in Metro Manila. When they opened the text from MMFF, scrolling through the message showed them a stop-motion film as they scrolled through the message.

The ad brought in the most number of entries ever seen by the MMFF in 2015.
